Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook
Summary
Presents "unbiased characterization of alloys of interest to the aerospace designer so that alloy selection for a particular application maybe made with a knowledge not only of typical physical and mechanical properties, but especially of those factors which limit the load carrying capacity..." This handbook contains typical data as contrasted to statistically derived design data presented in MIL-HDBK-5. Specified mechanical properties are frequently presented as derived from AMS, federal, and industrial sources and specifications. Caution should be used when comparing data from different sources because mechanical properties are sensitive to processing history and Handbook." Users are encouraged to read the general discussion. This handbook is funded by the Department of Defense and maintained by CINDAS at Purdue University.Access Locations
